About this Nominee
Warriors Remembrance Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Spring Branch, Texas, was born from the heartfelt concern of a 10-year-old boy named Nicholas Aidan. He was troubled by the neglect faced by veterans' grave sites and markers in local cemeteries, a poignant reminder that these heroes are being forgotten.
What began as a simple act of honor and respect has blossomed into a movement. Inspired by Nicholas Aidan's initiative, many have joined us in correcting this injustice. Our mission started with cleaning grave markers but quickly grew to encompass a range of crucial services. We assist widowed spouses and next-of-kin with VA death and burial filings, offer financial aid to families struggling with upfront funeral costs, and undertake the installation, resetting, and restoration of veteran grave markers and medallions.
Additionally, we provide genealogy research assistance to descendants of veterans seeking proof of service from any era. Beyond direct assistance, we advocate for legislative changes at the local and state levels to improve veterans' death and burial laws.
At Warriors Remembrance Foundation, we are committed to more than one-time fixes. We provide perpetual care for our local veterans' final resting places, ensuring that their sites and markers are always maintained and respected. Join us in honoring and remembering those who served our country with valor and dedication. Together, we can ensure that no veteran is ever forgotten again.
