Beautiful scenery and colorful history await, just a short drive from Spring Branch and Bulverde! With four miles of river frontage, the Guadalupe River takes center stage at the park. On the river, you can swim, fish, tube, and canoe. While on land, you can camp, hike, ride mountain bikes or horses, picnic, geocache, and bird watch. Fishing gear is available for use in the park.

Camp at one of 85 water and electric campsites or nine walk-in tent sites.
Explore 13 miles of hike and bike trails. Well-kept trails with stunning vistas and beautiful views range from 0.3 miles to 2.86 miles, and are easily connected for those looking for longer, more challenging adventures. For a six-mile remote experience, the Bauer Unit hiking and biking trails are moderate to challenging, and you will experience native prairie grasses in the mixed Hill Country Forest, along with wildlife, varied terrain, and spring seeps. Honey Creek State Natural Area is a gem not to be missed. Public walks are about 2.5 hours long, and with our expert Guides, you will learn about the history, geology, flora, and fauna of this spectacular protected area. Learn more about the park’s natural features at the Discovery Center. Take a closer look at nature using magnifying glasses, microscopes, and binoculars. Explore hands-on discovery boxes and exhibits. Ask about borrowing an explorer pack!
